About the Conference:
Slowly, but surely, e-business is reshaping the healthcare system, creating new expectations, opportunities, conflicts, costs and savings. At the first Health Industry Council e-health conference held in 2001, participants enjoyed a robust dialogue among hospital executives, payors, physicians, corporate benefits experts, policy makers, and e-health entrepreneurs exploring the opportunities and obstacles in the industry. The 2002 conference continued that dialogue as our speakers discussed the newest opportunities and possible solutions to obstacles confronting the adoption of e-health technologies and services. The 2003 conference centered on the digital hospital - the challenges, returns on investment and implementation.
This year's forum took a new spin and focused on emerging technologies that impact healthcare delivery and centered on health policy at the state and national level. Almost 150 people attended to hear sessions on the uninsured epidemic, connectivity issues, healthcare policy trends, and emerging technologies.
Conference Goals:
- Educate D/FW healthcare leaders on business solutions with opportunities to ask questions and provide feedback at each program session.
- Provide a forum and exposure for health & technology activity and innovation underway in the D/FW area.
- Dispel the myth that health technology is a passing phase that won't impact the healthcare system.
- Build on health & policy solutions that encourage innovation and improve the healthcare system.
- Offer opportunities for networking.
Audience:
Hospital and provider executives, corporate CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, HR executives, physicians, physician administrators, insurance company executives, e-health entrepreneurs, technology vendors, health policy makers, and media. Expect 200 to 250 attendees.
