Health & Technology

The purpose of this committee is the promote the awareness of changing or emerging technologies, educate Council members on ways to improve system integration, and be a resource for understanding the dynamics of information technology.

This committee has been inactive for two years after successfully hosting a Health & Technology Forum for 9 years. We are interested in re-forming if a pool of interested members can be identified. We would like to post case studies on our new website and host relevant events that may adhere to the above purpose for this group.

OBJECTIVES:

  • Be a resource for current technology trends and issues relating to healthcare business technology.
  • Educate Council members regarding technology changes in identifying and defining issues for improving system integration of healthcare components.
  • Create programs, symposiums, and /or forums to help understand the impact of dynamic information technology in the healthcare industry and provide relevant case studies and information.
  • The Health and Technology task force is responsible for planning and facilitating the annual Health and Technology Forum which is held each September in the DFW area. Each half-day-long forum features health technology exhibitors, key note speakers, and break-out sessions directed toward each segment of the industry.
