About the North Texas Commission

Established in 1971, NTC is the one and only public-private regional organization committed to enhancing the overall economic vitality and quality of life of the North Texas region. The North Texas Commission improves the economy, infrastructure and lifestyle of North Texas by marketing the region, promoting collaboration and advocating on critical issues.
As the fourth largest metro area in the nation with 6.6 million people, North Texas is among the fastest growing regions in the country. North Texas is home to 25 Fortune 500 companies, fourth most in the nation. To keep up,
we need smart policies and active leadership. NTC works to ensure North Texas is the Region of Choice.
Mission
The North Texas Commission serves as a unifying convener to:

• Market the region. Domestically and internationally, to enhance the visibility of North Texas;

• Advocate on critical regional issues that require a “one voice” message;

• Collaborate with regional stakeholders to foster innovative partnerships and capitalize on synergies.
NTC is a regional non-profit consortium of businesses, cities, counties, chambers of commerce, economic development entities and higher education institutions in the North Texas region. NTC membership connects the public and
private sector to promote the economic vitality and quality of life in North Texas.
Involvement
• Committee engagement: NTC offers participation in a variety of committees aimed at positive regional action on public policy, transportation, enrionment, innovation, aviation and logistic.
• Leadership North Texas: NTC organizes a graduate-level leadership course that provides the tools and support needed to become a regional leader.
• Signature Series: This event highlights emerging and ongoing issues focused on specific regional topics by featuring dynamic speakers an connecting business leaders and elected officials.
• TNT Topic: North Texas: Twice monthly, NTC hosts an online webinar series of industry experts providing insight on challenges and assets of our region.
