It seeks to create synergy among the organizations involved in healthcare, and is working to make the region a recognized center for the health industry on a local, national and international level.
- The Council serves as the focal point to gather and continuously update pertinent health
industry data, strengthen the health care sector, and bring additional jobs to the area by
building national and international recognition of the Dallas/Fort Worth health industry.
- Activities of the Council are embodied in a volunteer system that promotes the
involvement of more than 500 individuals representing a membership of 160 businesses,
institutions and organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.

regions largest and strongest economic sector, and is an advocate for the industry
among non-healthcare leadership in this country and abroad.
- Projects such as the breakfasts series, economic impact studies, an industry-wide directory, annual Health & Technology Forums, as well as the task forces, provide opportunities for networking, business development, and educational opportunities for members and the health industry in general.
- The Councils "Breakfast Series" provides an opportunity to educate the healthcare and non-health industry leaders on the activities and developments within the health industry. The series, during its 7 year history, has provided information on topics such as "the human genome project", starting a business, working with the FDA, financial opportunities in healthcare, Y2K concerns, career development, "what is home health?", legislative issues and emergency preparedness in DFW.
- The Council is the organizing entity for the Health and Technology Forum, an annual meeting focusing on the impact of technology in healthcare.
