Former Army Captain and twenty year Pfizer executive joins the Health Industry Council as President and CEO. In today’s dynamic environment of reform and collaboration, it was vital that the Council seek a strategic leader with strengths in both change management and cross-functional team building. Russ Williamson brings a vision and skill set to the Council that will enhance the membership and service line offerings.
After graduating West Point and serving in the United States Army, Russ began his career with Pfizer and rapidly worked up the ranks to both District and Regional Manager. He earned his MBA from Troy State University, became Senior Director of Business Operations, then Vice President of Sales. Russ has attended Wharton and SMU for certification programs in finance, negotiation, and strategy. For the past four years, he has been the Vice President and General Manager for Pfizer in Texas leading a high performance management team and ensuring customer-centric operations.
Like most of today’s healthcare companies, the Council is entering a new era. We are excited to see where the journey leads.
